Who Gave the Mass Media to Disrupt People’s Lives?

A show of hands for anybody who believes the media are abusing their power?

Who gave the mass media, particularly the tabloids, the right to disrupt and corrupt people’s lives? We may never know how leading democracies in the world have got to the stage where journalists believe they are a law unto themselves. However, what we do know is that owners of major newspapers groups take it on themselves to decide what news the public are ‘allowed’ to access. The most infamous of such characters are Rupert Murdoch who is the owner of an army of journalists through his media empire, which includes Sky, the now defunct News of the World, Fox News in the US, Star TV (in Asia) and many, many more.

Once upon a time, the newspapers were independent of politics, yet since the election of Margaret Thatcher as UK Prime Minister in 1979, the press have been unashamedly partisan and biased in their reporting towards one of the three major political parties in Britain. The biggest shock came when traditionally pro-Tory newspaper, the Sun (owned by Rupert Murdoch), gave their full support to Tony Blair’s New Labour. Some may argue that such a turn of events ensured Tony Blair’s accession to power. After all, is it a surprise when the average daily readership of The Sun alone was 2.75 million people.

Most recently, the corrupt nature of modern journalism has been exposed by rival media businesses through the phone-hacking scandal that led to the eventual closure of the News of the World. Celebrities and non-celebrities lives have been devastated by the media who have no other objective but to stir things up so that their papers sell. Period. The timeline of  the phone-hacking scandal from the Independent newspaper is a shocking read. However, it creates a clear picture of the depth and breadth of corruption present in the British mass media. Thankfully, there is still some justice as the criminal behaviour of corrupt journalists are being dealt with by British courts. Earlier this week, singer and presenter, Charlotte Church and her family were awarded £600,000 in costs and damages, which the News Group Newspapers will have to bear.

The media are inextricably linked to corporate interests and are used as a mechanism through which to keep the public in a state of confusion and incoherence. A recent two-page article I read in the Daily Mail was lambasting nutritional therapy as a particular therapist was telling a client to cut down and out sugar from their diet as it creates acidic conditions within the blood. Had the journalist done their due diligence and carried out a thorough unbiased research, they would have discovered that there is a plethora of studies done to prove that cancer thrives in acidic conditions in the body. Of course, having a public that is disease-free and of sound mind does not make good sense to those who wish to ply fear or to make money off illness.

Where do the public go from now? Here are my tips for readers regarding the media:

• If you do decide to delve into the mass media, question everything and be discerning. Critical thinking need not go the way of the dodo.
• Instead of turning to the major news providers, find independent news providers that resonate with the information you want
• The reality is: will reading or watching the news make a jot of difference to your life if you were to read it right now? The answer is probably ‘no’. Find something more creative or productive or even chill out!
• If you are a newshound, then create your own news outlet via a blog or Facebook or Twitter. You will soon know if readers give a hoot about your information.

The mass media live in a world that believes bads news sells. The public live in a world where they are looking for ways to be happy and fulfilled. It is not a complex equation. The public must decide whether they wish for more fear in their lives or more happiness.

How Women Hold the Real Answers to the World’s Crises

The current condition of the planet is, at the very least, dire. At worse, some may argue that the human race are at the brink of destruction. None of this happened overnight. The world economic crisis was already on the cards long before the financial collapse of 2008. Countries like Greece are being slaughtered by the corporations via their paid servants, politicians and mass media. The consequences are massive levels of poverty, unemployment and disenfranchisement.

After 4,000 years of male dominated society, it is all too clear that patriarchal rule is a failed experiment. I am not suggesting that matriarchy has all the answers either. Nonetheless, there is much that can be learnt from both ancient history where matriarchy was predominant as well as from Nature. Nature, follows universal principles that lead to Natural Law. For the past 4,000 years, human society has been striving to move away from nature in order to build community. This process was called ‘civilisation’. There is a reciprocal correlation between civilisation and nature. The more that society became civilised, the further removed it was from nature.

In the classical languages such as Latin, Greek, Arabic and even French, the words ‘Cosmos’ ‘Nature’ and ‘Earth’ are given the feminine gender and often referred to as  ’Mother Cosmos’, ’Mother Nature’ and ‘Mother Earth’. And, for good reason. Mother Cosmos gave birth to all that is manifest in the Cosmos. Mother Nature gave birth to Natural Law. Mother Earth gives birth to all provisions  (with the notable exception of light from the Sun) required by humans and other sentient beings to live. The Mothers nourish, nurture and give the vital ingredients for the growth of their children. After a certain time of undergoing this process of creativity within the womb of the Mothers, birth takes place. This process is known by Taoists as the ‘Yin’ process.

The yin represents the feminine energy, whilst the yang represents the masculine. The yin is symbolic of the unseen process of creativity. The yang symbolises the manifestator and the manifestation, i.e.  Creator and the Creation. Whilst the yang is what is seen, it only represents a very tiny fraction of the balance between itself and the yin. For example, in the process of human procreation, a man may have sex and impregnate a woman in matter of minutes or even seconds. This represents the yang element. The zygote, which then becomes an embryo is nourished, nurtured and receives life force comes through its mother over a duration of 40 weeks. This period of time is the yin period and it becomes the yang at childbirth.

The role played during this time by the masculine is minimal. After birth, the mother continues the process of feeding, nourishing and nurturing the child. She collaborates with the father to raise the child for a certain period of time. In Nature, the father becomes a protector of the mother and child as well as the provider of food, water and shelter to the nursing mother.

The principles of nurturing, protection and collaboration are imbued in the cells and the genetic coding of women. Competition is more prevalent in men and is as a by-product of them moving away from their own nature. Society has been falsely manipulated into believing that permanent competition is a good thing and that survival of the fittest will decide on who deserves to have it all. After all, winner takes it all, right? Wrong. According to the work of eminent evolution biologist, Dr Elisabet Sahtouris, competition is present in nature at the earliest stages of its development. For example, think of how lion cubs play fight. However, as the species matures, it becomes much more collaborative and co-operative. In order to maintain survival of the lion pride, for example, the lionesses will often hunt in packs to have a joint feast. Unlike the human species, it will kill according to how much they need to eat.

In order to rebuild a society that is co-operative and collaborative and seeks to nurture all, we need consider many options. However, there needs to be a total paradigm shift from patriarchal, survival of the fittest mentality as a starting point. Women who are already in places of power need to consider the incredible gift they have within and how they can tap into such innate abilities to begin the transformation process. Women like Lisa Clapier of the Occupy Wall Street Movement have demonstrated that the point of protesting is not about ‘Us against Them’, but the corporation between all humans in a joint purpose of growth and evolution. Women like Mother Teresa created teams of women whose service was to a higher purpose than the profit-motive. The results of her work speak for themselves.

I am a man. I do not have all the answers, but I do know where the majority of the answers to our greatest questions will come from. It is from women. This article is not a case against men. It is a case for a re-evaluation and redressing the power wielded and given by the two genders of the same species. Should humanity continue its route to control, manipulation, deceit and greed, an ultimate disaster will not be such a remote possibility. Should humanity shake itself up and wake itself up, then perhaps it will be given an opportunity to move away from survival alone in order to thrive and flourish. Will we really allow ourselves to forget that without the Mothers, we cannot exist?

How the Birthplace of Democracy has been Decimated by Greed for Control

The story of the crisis Greece has been undergoing is indeed a Greek tragedy of the utmost magnitude. As the birthplace of democracy itself, one would expect it to be fully honoured and supported by the world’s greatest advocates of democracies, such as USA, UK, France and Germany. How many UN resolutions have been passed and how many wars have bee fought in the name of democracy? Far too many for sure.

The very word ‘democracy’ comes from the Greek words, ‘demos’ and ‘kratos’, which mean ‘people’ and power, respectively. This form of governance, as distinct to monarchy, began in ancient Greece in 508 BC. As well as having the right to vote and to be protected by the laws of the land, being part of a democracy also meant being a responsible for maintaining civil society and being held accountable for the implementation of agreed policies. The consequences of failure were quite severe, including the death sentence for those who violated the democratic process.

Having citizens who were took that level of responsibility is not in the interests of politicians who have other vested interests in hurriedly passing new laws that served their paymasters. Such a form of democracy is a terrible threat to those who seek to control economies and nation states. Therefore, such politicians have been very busy dismantling democracy steadily over many decades. Most people will observe that no true democracy exists, except by name only. In the 2000 US Presidential Elections, George W. Bush became the President even though he was beaten at the polling booths by Al Gore! Bush won the elections again in 2004 even though John Kerry beat him at the polls! To call the electioneering in the USA a farce would be a total understatement.

In their desire to be part of the European Union money-train, Greece gave up its sovereign currency, the drachma, to join the Euro in 2001. The main aim of the European Central Bank (ECB) based in Frankfurt is to control the rate of inflation within the Eurozone. The reality is that whoever controls the Euro controls all countries and people who either use the Euro or whose own currency is pegged to the Euro. Moreover, whosoever owns and controls the ECB controls all the economies. The ECB is controlled by various national central banks of which some are privately owned such as the Bank of England.

The ECB requires all countries that have adopted the Euro to hand over their monetary control to the ECB. Effectively, it means that interest rates and tax policies for Greece is no longer under their control. Regardless of their regional difference in economic growth and stability, they cannot choose their own policies to support their country. Whilst it is true that the Greeks mismanaged their economy by creating a debt of 300 billion euros by 2009, how it managed to get so deep into the red has more than meets the eye. The Greeks are being burdened by debt that goes back decades whilst debts of countries, Germany in particular, are being ignored. Most appallingly, the US who happens to have the greatest debt of $15 trillion dollars, should be certified as bankrupt. Click this link to see the real-time US national debt. It will shock you!

Money, which I contend is the grandest of all illusions created by men, represents nothing more than debt. Money is not backed up by gold, silver, precious metals, jewellery or any other scarce commodity. Therefore, it has no value but the value that people place on it based on their own perceptions. Unfortunately, the corrupt Greek government have bought into the money game hook, line and sinker. Today, Greece is being made to take austerity measures in order to repay its debt. These measures include higher taxes, increasing the price of fuel, increasing the pension age so that the government don’t have to pay out pensions. These are the very reasons why the Greek people will be crippled even further.

So, if money is an illusions, then surely it cannot affect people in real terms, right? Wrong. The fact that an economy is based on debt, somebody owns the debt and somebody has to repay the debt. The owners of the debt are the banks and the ones who have to repay the debt are the public. As we all know, failing to keep up with repayments may mean you lose your home and other assets. In Greece, the rate of unemployment is 21%, youth unemployment is 48% (VERY dangerous), 1 in 5 people are living below the poverty line and the number of people calling the suicide hotline doubled from 2010 in 2011 to 5000 people.

What is going unnoticed is how the banks and corporations are buying up major assets like the Port of Piraeus. A number of German companies, such as Deutsche Telekom AG and Fraport AG, are going on a bargain-hunting spree and acquiring major stakes in important Greek companies. Greece has been offered an olive branch by Germany’s Merkel and France’s Sarkozy though. They will be allowed to borrow 130 billion Euros provided they spend it on German and French military equipment.

If, by now, people are not waking up to the reality of situation, then let me spell it out clearly. Corporations from banking sector and the Military-Industrial Complex are dictating economic strategies to governments. The people who vote in these governments have no say in the matter. What would a hungry, poverty-stricken and socially excluded Greek prefer – a bullet or bread? When corporations begin to control governments, such a regime is, by definition, known as a fascist regime. The European Union has been displaying such characteristics for several decades.

In the end, the birthplace of democracy has crumbled. Greek is no longer being ruled by democratically-elected government. It is being politically controlled by a government over 2,000 km away (1,300 miles) and economically destroyed by banksters 1,800 Km (1,100 miles) from their capital. Unless the global public address the issue of what democracy truly means as well as the power for corporations to control governments are immediately removed, then we may see the day that Greece, the Mother of civilisation and democracy, is nothing more than a distant memory in history books.

Was Big Pharma Responsible for the Death of Whitney Houston?

Whitney Houston, without a shadow of a doubt, has been one of the most loved and respected singers of her generation. Ever since her death, tributes have been pouring in from all sides as people honour her life. The question now is what was the true cause of her death? Did she die from drowning or did she die from drug overdose?

According to reports from TMZ, the coroner’s officials have told Houston’s family that there was not enough water in her lungs to conclude that death was caused by drowning. It is more likely that she died before her head was submerged. Instead,  ”a plethora of sedatives including Lorazepam, Valium, Xanax, and a sleeping medication that was found in her hotel room”. These are FDA-approved pharmaceutical drugs, i.e. they are legally prescribed drugs.

Xanax, for example, is a psychotropic drug with side effects that include:

• Aggression
• Rage and hostility
• Twitches and tremors
• Mania, agitatio

According to Natural News overdose of Xanax may cause:

• Dizziness
• Fainting
• Coma
• Death

The hard-hitting online media news channel also demonstrate how many world renowned celebrities, including Marilyn Monroe, Michael Jackson and Heath Ledger had all been taking cocktails of prescribed pharmaceutical drugs leading up to their untimely deaths. The fact remains that over 200,000 deaths can be directly to prescription drugs in the USA alone. Such numbers are only related to those deaths directly related to the drugs.

It is about time pharmaceutical drugs were exposed for what they truly are – profit-motivated non-personal organisations with no accountability and certainly no intention of healing people. If Big Pharma fulfilled the purpose of healing everybody, by definition, they will go out of business. However, it is also high time for the public to realise that they already have great potential for self-healing and for curing themselves from conditions that Big Pharma will have people believe otherwise.

The cure to many diseases, including that of greedy corporations, does not lie in anger and revenge. It lies in individuals beginning to understand the true nature of human potential. This lies within each and every one of us.

Is Telepathy Real?

If you are a cat-owner or a dog-owner, have you ever had these following experiences? You’ve booked an appointment for your cat with the vet, but when it came to the scheduled appointment, the cat is nowhere to be found. Dog-owners will be familiar with this one. No matter what time of day or by what method you come back home, you find your dog either waiting at the door or watching through the window.

There is more to this than meets the eye. It is called telepathy. This is a normal phenomenon in the animal kingdom where communication takes place on an everyday basis even though it has not been explained by science. That’s not strictly true. A global frontier of science, Dr Rupert Sheldrake, has been researching and proving his theory of ‘morphogenic fields‘. Telepathy is one of the phenomenon he explains through this theory. However, can humans have telepathic communication?

Consider this. The mobile phone is probably the most used technological device in the world. Have you ever had someone call you on the phone and, moments before they called, you were thinking of them? Is this mere coincidence and are we being deluded or is it a reality? If telepathy is a reality, then how will that change the way humans think and behave? Would people be more transparent, honest and integral? Life is a Synchrony

Last night, I had the enormous pleasure of attending my friend Tamar’s birthday dinner. It was a small bijoux affair. One of the guests at the dinner was a lady I long admired, Marie Diamond, but had no idea would be attending the dinner. Many people will know Marie as one of the experts on The Secret. She was the one that I resonated with the most. She is also the one that makes most sense to me.

 

Let me explain how. When people approach their self-development they take one of three approaches:

1. They turn to religion to connect with a higher source
2. They work on developing their mind and body (personal development), or
3. They work on improving their home, workplace and other aspects of their environment

Very few people integrate the development of all three areas. Therefore, they do not see results from their narrow focus. For example, many religious or New Age people are so focused on their spiritual development, they often neglect their personal growth on the human plane and often cite this as non-important. Their lack of integration, however, means that their spiritual development is limited dramatically.

Experiencing synchronicities are not purely the realm of mystics and spiritual masters. They occur when one takes the time and makes the effort to align mind, body and spirit with the environment. I have found experts in all these areas, except for the environment…until I found Marie, that is. She is a Feng Shui master and I plan to have her on as a guest of The Consciousness Revolution Show very soon.

Finally, when I was with Marie, I mentioned a friend of mine who she may wish to connect with as they both would gain massively.On the morning after, I emailed both Marie and my friend thinking that the latter would not notice the email because it was Sunday. Less than an hour later, I get a call from my very excited friend telling me how did I know that part of her vision was to connect with Marie. Well, I didn’t know that until she told me. The last bit of the synchronicity was when Marie adviced me that greater abundance would flow in the Year of the Dragon if I were to place a babbling fountain somewhere south in my house. After telling my friend this,  she was laughing. Would you believe that the grocer’s store where we do most of our vegetable shopping had a stock of miniature fountains that there were selling for a limited period? The mind boggles and I am grateful to Marie!
