What is the true meaning of war?

ApotheosisWhen I had the pleasure of interviewing Dr David Hawkins, we discussed how in the 20th century, there was war taking place in some place somewhere in the world 97% of the time. Despite all the technological advances and the rising level of human consciousness, we have been at war for 100% of the time in this century. The corporate-owned media behave more like mouth-pieces for those who gain most from war.

Let’s get one thing right. War is a business. Governments who purport to be propagating freedom and democracy by invading sovereign nations have no intention of liberating those whose land they occupy. In fact, their own country is far from democratic or free. What democracy exists are token gestures to appease the public. The people who gain most from war are the Military-Industrial Complex and Central Banks, which are all owned by a small group of industrialists.

If you haven’t seen the movie, Zeitgeist, then I urge you to watch it as it explains the nature of money creation excellently. War is the most expensive business any government can partake in. The money to pay for war comes from the public via loans from Central Banks (owned by private individuals). Your money feeds the war machine  with all the devastation they cause. Last year $1.7 trillion dollars in 2012 particularly by the USA, China and Russia. Today’s latest British news include the killing of three British soldiers in Afghanistan, bringing total British soldiers killed to 444 since 2001 when the allied forces invaded the country. Of course, the statistics for civilian lives and casualties are far greater in number. These people whose lives are taken by militia are called ‘collateral damage’ just like some kind of minor side effect of war. The reality is that most wars lead to the deaths of far more innocent men, women and children than soldiers.

I have wracked my brain on many occasions on whether any military is needed at all. I wish it were the case that humans were evolved enough to live in peace without the threat of conflict. In reality, every country does need to have some form of military on standby perchance some lunatic or groups of lunatics decide to threaten nationals. Humanity’s collective consciousness is still not high enough to avert such dangers with diplomacy. However, when a government is controlled or even owned by corporations, especially from industries that profit from war-mongering, then the probability of war is very high.

Solutions? Perhaps we need to revisit our definition of democracy. Who is the government accountable to – the people or corporations? Are the transactions, activities and sponsors of politicians transparent to the public on a daily basis? How long do we wish to tolerate fear-mongering by politicians, the media and those who are in places of power?

The greatest solutions will not come from those who are already running an old corrupted and corruptible system. The change that needs to take place must come from oneself. We must questions our own modus operandi and ask questions such as:

  • “Do I operate from a place of fear or a space of lovingness and compassion?”
  • “Am I driven by past conditioning and programming or am I heart-centred?”
  • “Am I taking orders from my head or listening to my intuition and following my heart?”
  • “Am I authentic, transparent and working from integrity?”
  • “What am I doing to make a difference to the lives I am touching right now?”

These and many more questions need to be asked of oneself. What is the point of replacing one corrupt leader with someone else who is corruptible. I am sure the vast majority of those who end up in positions of power probably had very good intentions at the beginning of their life journey. There is no doubt that we need to change from within before we expect others to change. War is not going to go away too soon. The people who propagate it have far too much invested in conflict to give it up without a fight. However, we can and we will replace the war-mongers one funeral at a time. Even they cannot live forever. The challenge is to replace our leaders with those who are lovers of peace, balance and harmony.

No Fluoride Rap

How amazing is it that at the same time I was blogging on how to remove sodium fluoride from the body that a friend of mine from Portland starts sharing his rap on fluoride on YouTube. Bizarrely, neither of us knew that the other was working on sharing this message – him through his music and me through my book, Shattering the Grandest Illusions. Check out this video…

How Eugenics Still Lives On…

Eugenics is the practice of consciously eliminating humans from a community because of ‘defects’ such as disabilities, sexual orientation, race, religion and so on. It is a social philosophy advocating the improvement of human hereditary traits through the promotion of higher reproduction of more desired people and traits, and reduced reproduction of less desired people and traits. It was developed by the cousin of Sir Charles Darwin and another of Queen Victoria’s knights, Sir Francis Galton.

It was championed by the USA in the early 1900s, but was completely discredited after it was used widely by the Nazis during World War II to murder many thousands of people from ethnic minorities in Germany and Europe. However, there was shocking revelations that the Eugenics is still alive and kicking. Watch this episode of Breaking the Set from RT news for more…

How are We Feeding the World?

One of the greatest human tragedies is how individuals have abdicated their own personal power to those in places of authority. This is clearly demonstrated by a documentary I’ve just watched called ‘We Feed the World‘. Even though it was made in 2004, very little has changed. One of my big concerns is the way water is regarded by individuals and by companies. Clearly, it is a big concern to the 884 million people who do not have access to clean water on a daily basis and the 3.575 million people who die every year from preventable, water-related diseases. Thus, isn’t it the duty of those with knowledge and resources to support those who are suffering and dying?

On the other hand, companies such as Nestlé, the world’s largest producer of bottled drinking water have other things in mind. Nestlé employ over 275,000 people all over the world and have a direct influence via their employees to 4.5 million people. According to its CEO, Peter Brabeck, its annual turnover is $65 billion and is the owner of Perrier, Pellegrino water as well as many other household brands. This is what Brabeck has to say about water:

“Water is the most important raw material we have in the world today. It’s a question of whether we should privatise the normal water supply for the population. One opinion, which I think is extreme, is represented by the NGO’s who bang on about declaring water a public right. That means as a human being you should have a right to water. That’s an extreme solution. And the other view says that water is a foodstuff like any other foodstuff and should have a market value. Personally, I believe it’s better to give a foodstuff a value so that we are all aware that it has a price and that one should take specific measures for the part of the population that has no access to this water and there are many different possibilities there.”

There is clearly a mismatch between what the public see as simple food commodities and what intentions large corporations such as Nestlé (the 27th biggest company in the world) have in mind for the future of the world. Many people such as I believe that we need to open our eyes to reality and begin to take power back into our own hands. The world will never changed until you and I change as individuals. The first thing is to become informed. I recommend you make We Feed the World a priority to watch as a documentary. Here is the trailer for this informative and engaging film:

Does the Business World Need a Revolution?

“That will be £2.20, sir”, I said to the customer who proceeded to pay for his Chicken Curry and Pillau Rice.

That was the first customer order I took for my dad at his take-away in 1982. In those days, we let people know we existed via newspaper ads and leaflet drops. I was responsible for the ads. Then we would work our butts off to cook the best food and give the best service we knew how. Unfortunately, my dad was not the award-winning chef he would be ten years later and we were not located in a town famous for its connoisseurs of world cuisine. The true curry fans associated the curry with getting drunk before eating the hottest dish on the menu or even off the menu! Sunderland was also going through the worst recession in its history. Therefore, to say business was tough is an understatement. Unsurprisingly, our business shut down in less time than we could have imagined.

There is no doubt that, historically, most entrepreneurs go into business to make a profit. Given that there are 4.5million businesses in the UK and 99% are SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises), many of which are sole traders and partnerships, cashflow is the main means of survival. In fact, the British economy is hugely dependent on SME’s to thrive.

However, in a desperation to merely survival (50% of businesses fail in the first year and 97% by the third year), many entrepreneurs end up following the herd and resort to methods to market their business, which is out of integrity. In the 1970s and ’80s, motoring magazines were usually on or near the top shelf. Car and motorcycle ads would have bikini-clad size zero models sprewn over the vehicle. That hasn’t completely disappeared today. Today, the gaming industry uses sex and gratuitous violence (computer games) to attract a younger audience.

Of course, how can the sales profession be ignored? Most people loathe pushy salespeople who are in your face, right? So, why do so many people do it? I left the sales-training industry in 2007 specifically because the sales trainers who were the most successful in getting clients were teaching fear-based selling. What does that say about the state of business?

Ever since I ran like a the Road-Runner from the sales-training industry, I have been praying for a new way to sell to be revealed to us. At the end of last year, my prayers were answered! Unbeknownst to me, one of my new friends, Lynn Serafin, had been researching like crazy about sales and marketing in order to find a new, integral and integrated way for businesses to attract customers and keeping them. Her book, ‘The Seven Graces of Marketing‘, is the new bible for ANYBODY and EVERYBODY who wishes to build a profitable business that creates true value for the enterprise, the customer and the world.

Lynn will be joining me on tonight’s Consciousness Revolution Show at 7pm BST (British Summer Time) to reveal what it takes to move a business from merely surviving to going beyond thriving by understanding the Seven Deadly Sins of Marketing and the Seven Graces of Marketing. Here are the details:

  • Time: 7pm BST, 11am PST, 2pm EST, 8pm CET, 11.30pm IST
  • Date: Monday 9th April 2012
  • Place: on http://www.untangledfm.com
  • Price: FREE
  • Registration: No need. Follow this blog here or Facebook to keep updated.

If you own a business, wish to start a business or are looking for ways to be more successful in business, then feel free to tune in. Does the business world need a revolution? Actually, that question no longer matters. The revolution has already started!

Lynn shows the impact consumer culture has upon our health, our economy and the delicate ecological balance of our natural world. As much for the conscious consumer as the business owner, this book shows why traditional ways of selling are ultimately doomed to fail, and how both business owners and consumers can begin to heal the world by embracing a new paradigm Lynn calls ‘The 7 Graces of Marketing.’

The Lost Art of Critical Thinking

Human beings have one very important distinguishing factor from that of other mammals. We have the ability to make choices…consciously. Sure, animals make choices, too. However, their choices are based on pre-determined programmes that they are born with, which are then influenced by the environment they live in.

Humans also have the ability to make choices either through conditioning and programming or through a conscious process of critical thinking. The final decision is made with the heart, but for true staying power, that decision is made with the intuition. Unfortunately, I will go as far to say that over 97% of people’s thinking is based on predetermined patterns and programmes. Therefore, when a person thinks they are thinking consciously, they are, in reality, going through a pattern of thought based on their programming.

Critical thinking involves asking great quality questions that require some pondering and involves the use of all faculties beyond the five senses. For example, when looking at the vast volume of money (in the billions of dollars) spent on cancer research every year, one would imagine that cures, beyond chemotherapy and radiotherapy, would have been found for major cancers by now. Not so. Western medicine has an almost entire focus on fighting the symptoms than treating the causes.

A person who was utilising critical thinking would perhaps figure out that the pharmaceutical corporation whose sole purpose is to grow shareholder’s profits has no interest in eliminating a phenomenal cash-cow like cancer. It will also be obvious why politicians blatantly support and are supported by the pharmaceutical industry. Thus, a critical thinker would firstly investigate further into alternative routes to dealing with cancer as well as bring to account those who betray the trust of the public in order to protect the interests of corporations, i.e. politicians.

In the meantime, here is a short clip that you may find interesting on one ancient science that may begin to start shedding light on dealing with cancer…

For people interested in finding out much more on the work done by Marcus Freudenmann through his DVD documentary, Cancer is Curable Now, please check out the video by clicking this link: Cancer is Curable Now Trailer!

I leave you with this. The human race is going through a massive awakening in this period of our history. The awakening process is not optional nor is it difficult. Those who choose to take ownership of their right to use critical thinking, i.e. truly think and feel for themselves, will enjoy a smoother journey than most. I hope you are one such person.

Love and gratitude

Is Cancer Curable?

Cancer still stands as one of the top killer disease in the Western world. In 2008, 850 people were newly diagnosed with cancer every day, which amounts to 30,500 people for that year. Worldwide, there were 12.7 million new cases in 2008 and it is on the increase. In 2009, it was reported by The Guardian that 10,000 people needlessly die due to late diagnosis. Despite the billions of pounds pumped into cancer research every year, cures seem to elude the modern medicine. Where does all this money go? Why have they not found a cure to cancer?

It’s time to investigate. On Monday 26th March 2012, I will be interviewing Marcus Freudenmann about his DVD documentary, Wake Up Cancer is Curable Now, which he made over several years interviewing scientists, doctors and numerous professionals about possible solutions to curing cancer. I will be asking Marcus questions such as:

  • Why is the pharmaceutical industry having trouble finding cures?
  • Why are there so many cynical people who totally denigrate anybody who claims they have a cure?
  • What is the history behind cancer cures?
  • What is the cause of cancers?
  • Where does the Law stand regarding cancer cures?
  • What cures has he discovered that are viable?

There will be many more questions plus listeners questions being put to Marcus during The Consciousness Revolution Show live at 7pm. Tuning in is very easy. Here are the full details:

  • Time: 7pm GMT, 11am PST, 2pm EST, 8pm CET, 12am IST
  • Date: Monday 26th March 2012
  • Place: On the internet anywhere in the world – www.untangledfm.com/index.php/live
  • Cost: FREE!
  • Registration: NONE. However, you can follow us on Twitter and Facebook

Fact: one in three people will be diagnosed with one form of cancer or the other within their lifetime. Therefore, there is a very high probability, you will personally know somebody with cancer. We have a stark choice – bury our head in the sand and hope it goes away or find a peaceful, non-aggressive means of dealing with cancer.

Love, light and peace,

Harun Rabbani

The Fight for Africa

In December 2008, I had the opportunity to visit a part of Africa with a team of people for a school-building project in Sierra Leone. At that time, Sierra Leone was the 179th out of 179 in the United Nation’s Human Development Index. (Since then, they have added more countries to their list.) In other words, Sierra Leone had the worst levels of poverty, life expectancy, infant mortality, etc. Given its many natural resources, technically it should be the richest country in Africa. During my two weeks stay there, I noticed the proliferation of Chinese and Arab businesses that were running operations and hiring local people. It seemed like, where the West has failed Africa and treated it like a charity case, the Arabs and the Chinese were finding ways to exploit the resources that seemed to be mutually beneficial to the locals and to the foreign businesses.

As an economist, I realised how interesting it was that the Chinese were expanding their wings relatively unnoticed whilst benefiting millions of Africans. Without a shadow of doubt, handing out food and money weakens people’s ability to create their own fortune. (Dealing with a humanitarian crisis such as famine is a different matter.) On the other hand, giving people the opportunity to create their own wealth (not just money), leaves people with better choices and, consequently, more empowered. Therefore, it cannot be argued that enterprise is far more productive and supportive to Africans than charity.

However, I wondered how would the rest of the West, especially the US empire, deal with the rapid expansion of the new super-power in waiting, China. The Cold War that involved the West and the Soviet Bloc pointing nuclear weapons at each other, like two five-year old boys playing cowboys and Indians, was a disastrous failure. Nonetheless, I couldn’t see how the US will sit back and allow China to grow in stature. As the self-appointed international police force, the US needs something to police. To create law and order, they need to chaos and disorder. Africa, having been continually torn apart by civil war (funded by the developed countries), famine, disease and serious communications and technological infrastructure, is the perfect place for the US-led police force to create a base.

On the 5th March, one of the most powerful viral videos in YouTube’s history was uploaded by a charity known as Invisible Children who work with children in Uganda. The objective of the 30-minute video was to highlight the plight of children particularly in Uganda who have been abducted to work as prostitutes and child soldiers. Within one week, the video had been viewed by 76 million times.

The story that unfolds in the video makes for chilling viewing and certainly pulls on viewers emotional hot-buttons. So, is it a surprise that so many people are backing their cause. However, it’s time to back up. In essence, the film-makers are asking for the US government to send in troops to hunt down Joseph Kony, the rebel leader of the Lord’s Resistance Army, for his crimes relating to child abduction. Kony certainly needs to be brought to justice without a doubt. However, given the massacres caused by the Ugandan President, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, why is the latter hailed as a new breed of African leader? He is praised for his compliance with the IMF Structural Adjustment. Museveni has now been the longest-standing leader in Africa and is associated with many humanitarian violations. Why isn’t he being questioned for his crimes?

On the face of it, Kony 2012 looks like a good cause. Heck, even I posted it on Facebook when I first watched the video. However, the reality is that it is a totally and utterly massive smokescreen to smooth the way for US forces to enter more African territories on false pretences. Don’t believe me, remember the WMD that was alleged to be in Iraq before the US and British led invasion? How about the lies and deception about 9/11 so that forces can get into Afghanistan? This has led to thousands of young men dying in the name of their country, including six British troops last week. Of course, it makes the mind wonder what colonialists think will happen if innocent children and civilians are massacred as happened on Sunday 11th March 2012 in the Kandahar province. Here’s a video that may help to raise more questions about the idea of more American troops stepping onto foreign soils:

Was is big business. Let me emphasise the point – it is a ‘business’. Those who gain are the Military-Industrial Complex, including the banking sector. Civilians who die in the process are nothing more than fodder or euphemistically called ‘collateral damage’. It is time people began to mature emotionally so that they can stand back and look at the reality of the situation by observing the whole picture and not just one that has been financed by Hollywood (and now by millions of generous donors across the planet). War has NEVER been the solution to conflict. The only people war serves are those who have a financial interest one way or the other. I do not have enough of my questions answered to conclusively state if the charity, Invisible Children, have a genuine interest in the plight of children. But I certainly know that for them to ask for the support of foreign military on African soil is either incredibly naive or incredibly deceitful. In the end, just like how it was concluded that WMD were not in Iraq, the truth about Kony 2012 will reveal itself.

The fight to save Africa is nothing but a stand-off between China and the USA. China has its terrible human rights records, whilst the US has its empire-building agenda at the forefront of its mind. In the end, African men, women and children seem to be a convenient excuse for both empires to use for their own selfish gains. They also are fully aware that the greatest economical and technological development gains in the coming decades will arise from Africa. Therefore, they will use and have been using any means necessary to economically invade Africa. The Arab Springs was a prelude to what is to come. All I can wish for is that the public to realise the geopolitical games being played out by the illusionists. No amount of oil, diamond, gold or land can ever replace the life of a single person. It is time to wake up to that reality.

Love and gratitude,
