When honesty literally pays

Harun RabbaniHundreds of people have been donating money to a taxi-driver who has been a shining example of honesty in a society where corruption in rife. After Santiago Gori dropped off an elderly couple, he didn’t expect to find a bag full of cash…$32,000 (£21,600) of it!

At this point some people may consider keeping the money. But Gori was a true superhero and spent the next two days tracking down the couple to return the money. This gesture surprised Argentines so much that two advertising agents have set up a website for people to send messages and donations to Gori as a way of thanking him. So far the equivalent of $14,580 has been donated, according to the site.

This truly is karma in action.
