Altered States of Consciousness

For thousands of years, people have achieved altered states of consciousness through meditation, dreams, hypnosis, religious ecstasy, chanting, movement art, Martial Arts and even hallucinogens. Altered states of consciousness has also been used by healers and therapists to bring back their patients to a place of equilibrium, harmony and, of course, healing.

However, what scientific basis is there behind attaining altered states of consciousness? Is there any real hardcore evidence available that shows healers, for example, have any real physiological effect on their patients?

Other pressing questions include:

Does consciousness arise from matter (such as the brain) or does matter come from consciousness?

During this Consciousness Revolution Show, we will be joined by Professor Konstantin Korotkov of the St Petersburg University and Konstantin Pavlidis of the Orassy Institute to discuss the scientific study of altered states of consciousness and the technological devices including EPC/GDV that Prof. Korotkov has developed for the measurement of energy and energy fields.

During this discussion, we will also be looking into the findings of the work carried out by Prof. Korotkov with Dr Masaru Emoto on water and messages in water. Other areas we will discuss include medicine and sports research.

Konstantin Korotkov has the following positions:

•    Deputy Director of Saint-Petersburg Federal Research Institute of Physical Culture.

•    Professor of Computer Science and Biophysics at Saint-Petersburg Federal University of Informational Technologies, Mechanics and Optics.

•    Professor of Research in Saint Petersburg Academy of Physical Culture.

He has published over 200 papers in leading journals on physics and biology, and he holds 17 patents on biophysics inventions. Prof. Korotkov has led a research career for over 30 years, combining rigorous scientific method with an insatiable curiosity about things of the spirit and the soul with deep respect for all life. He is also a scholar in philosophy and a serious mountaineer of 25 years experience. His scientific line, known as the Electrophotonics, is based on Gas Discharge Visualization technique (GDV), is a breakthrough beyond Kirlian photography for direct, real-time viewing of the human energy fields. This new technology allows one to capture by a special camera the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual energy emanating to and from an individual, plants, liquids, powders, inanimate objects and translate this into a computerized model. This allows researcher and client to see imbalances that may be influencing an individual’s well-being greatly facilitating the diagnosis of the CAUSE of any existing imbalances showing the area of the body and the organ systems involved.  One of the greatest benefits to date is the ability to do “real-time” measurements of a variety of treatments for such conditions as cancer to determine which is the most appropriate for the client. Konstantin Pavlidis is a scientific researcher, a movement master and a spiritual teacher who has worked in the fields of therapy, traditional medicine, healing, scientific research and the movement arts over the past four decades. He has created a number of teaching programmes in the areas of self development, therapy/healing and the performing arts. He has also taught these both privately and in various institutes throughout the globe. Some of these are Zen Essence Yoga, Kinesomasis, Dance Mastery and Choreosynthesis.

Konstantin has conducted research for movement, healing and meditation using a combination of mechanistic and Quantum-based devices for evaluations and data collection.
